Available from here among other places.

There are two versions, the more expensive has a built-in analogue TV receiver.

It seems pretty good in that it will encode DivX and MP4 as well as WMV and the rest.

I would be using it to archive stuff of my Sky+. WMV or DivX would save me a lot of disk space with the option to burn DVDs for the better content.

Is there something else I should be looking at?

    Thanks

    Dave

    That'll be a "no" then!

So what do you use to capture and do you store in MP4/DivX or WMV?

I was going to start a new thead - but found this one.

I have just bought the Plextor ConvertXTV402U and it works brilliantly for producing DivX in hardware. In fact, you can select any output (including MPEG2, which can be burned without re-encoding). It's just under £100 from Amazon if anyone is interested.

I have one problem. I can't capture in widescreen as the option is greyed out in the software applications - although the manual suggests it should be available. Does anyone else have one of these and if so, what am I doing wrong?

I'll take that as a 'no' then.
