Tim,

The Girder bit had been posted on AVScience, I'm hoping someone does the hard work with a CCF now.

    Jeff/Craig
Just spent the last week figuring out Girder & the inner workings of my new Pronto,I have got Girder to work of sorts just turning on/off dscaler, dvdgenie,& windvd works quite well but boy oh boy is it sloooooooooooooooooow going
Whilst i have you both in this thread i am having real grief in choosing between KBK's capture card & a falcon, has anyone done a back to back on these? although KBK's card works out quite a bit cheaper, that could clinch it for me, i'm running a wintv theatre card, horrible thing, image soft suffering from dot crawl, RF interference, jaggies, blah blah do these new cards clean up the image that well??
Thanks Chaps, any help with anything HCPC as usual greatly app'd.
Now to get my head round Talisman
Cheers.
Tim

The Falcon Vs the KBK Zoltrix, good question, there is some guy in the states who is getting both cards but he hasn't reprted back yet.

My personal view is that there is more to it than just the capture card. Other components such as the PSU also have a large barring on the PQ. I'm very happy with the Falcon and for me to be happy must mean that it's good (it's my 3rd card), but I have taken great care with the construction and parts used in my PC. I have even gone to the trouble to internally shield the card. Anyway in a weeks time I will know exactly good it is, I will let others be the judge.

You'll find my thoughts poste on my homepage RE KBK card. I have some pretty darn hot grabs from both LD and a Sony DVD player. Pic files are about 1 mb, so be warned!!!

Likewise, I have also been very selective in the components I use in my HTPC (why do pople still say HCPC???), I have yet to see thefalcon, but Im sticking with the KBK. No need to spend money on another capture card.....
