i didn,t like the first movie in the series, but was very surprised at how good the next one was. i didn,t see this at the cinema and chose to watch it at home....firstly the story had a darker feel with only a slight bit of comic relief, secondley any one with a subwoofer will find the womping willow thunderous!!!!also the creature[no spoilers]in the chamber was also another bass monster! a highly recommended film:smashin:

Must agree with you there, I enjoyed it a lot more than the first although there are some bits that I would have liked to see ellaborated a bit more, and IMO a couple of the deleted scenes could have done with being in the film. But on the whole it is a lot darker than the first.

never got to check the deleted scenes. i must admit that i got the impression the first harry potter was aimed at pushing as much merchandise as possible at the viewer!!!!!

I think they aimed the first one at kids and then thought that they could aim the second one towards the whole family because of the darker storyline

The 2nd was defo better than the 1st but it was tooooooooo long - apparantly the third is being handled differently and JKR has agreed that some changes can be made to the book to improve pacing, something she was very against in the 1st 2 installments.

I love long films! Something to settle down to for a few hours. I hope the next one isn't a 90 minute wonder!
