Looking forward to these, and a month earlier than the US releases to.

Have they forgotten that they havn't released Goblet of Fire on Blu-ray?

Goblet of fire was released on HD-DVD late last year, now they seem to have annouced the other 4 movies on both HD-DVD and Blu-ray. Surely they wouldn't have forgotten that they havn't released Goblet of Fire on blu-ray yet.

Hopefully it will be announced shortly.

Unless of course it's because the HD-DVD had IME and they are waiting for Blu-ray's profiles to catch up to release the Blu-ray version with the same features as the HD-DVD version like they are doing with the matrix, Batman etc.

Choseing BD-J over HDi seems to have been the biggest mistake the BDA have made imo.

I think maybe play.com may have got confussed with reading the dates. The 12/11/07 in American terms is 11th December 2007 where as in the UK its the 12th November 2007. Could be the reason for it being listed as released one month early.

    Just a theroy.

Nice spot matt, very possible, play don't exactly have a great record with accurate info on HD-DVD/Blu-ray and that is an easy mistake to make.

It will be interesting to see if these all get True HD/ PCM as the GoF has.

I think the date may be correct. 12th November is a Monday, which is usual release day for DVDs in the UK. 11th December is a Tuesday, which from memory is the normal release day in the US for games (or it was when I was over there trying to get hold of the Planes of Power expansion for Everquest), so may be the same for DVDs. OotP is also listed on HMV as 12-11-07.

I seem to remember that the UK HD release of GoF was before the US one.

GOF hasn't been released in the US yet and the version that was sold to us in the UK was the US version with FBI warnings etc.

So for some reason it appears warner made the US disks and changed their mind about releaseing. People have speculated that is was because they didn't want to release it on HD-DVD and not Blu-ray at that time and so were waiting for Blu-ray to be ready to handle the IME. Only Warner know for sure though.

Anyone know if we're getting the HD-DVD boxset in the UK - as it seems the US boxset contains extra bonus discs not included with the individual releases - but I would guess contains the US cuts of the movies - the 'Sorcerors Stone' for example.
