    I bought this on region 3 and noticed that the 5.1 sound to be of inferior quality to the first and second one.Has anyone else noticed it.Maybe the quality on say region 1 or 2 to be any different.Anybody with all 3 regions to compare?

    Regards. :confused:

    I found the sound adequate, but not as good as the first two, BUT there are some excellent LFE sequencies, like the Knightbus and the Whomping Willow, they will give your subwoofers one hell of a workout.

    Film still felt VERY rushed in the second half though.

    yes totally agree i found the sound adequate and had alot of great bass moments. i didnt find the film rushed at all thought was by far the best out of the three so far. having read the 1st 5 books a few times over the 3rd film dipicts and stays most faithful to the book. im not happy at change of director again for goblet of fire as i though alfoson curon was excellent. but we shall see in time

    I felt they missed out a lot of failry important facts from the third book.

    SPOILERS BELOW FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE OR READ THE BOOK!!!!
    =================================================================

    The explanation of the reasons why Harrys dad and co were Animagus, and the Animagus registrar were completely ignored.

    The whole Firebolt introduction was missed, and Harrys longing for it was also missed.

    The Potion created by Snape to keep Lupins wolfie at bay was also missed, and only a vague mention of it near the end was used.

    The whole Stag Patronus thing was also missed, and only skimmed on without an explanation at the end.

    END SPOILERS!!!!!!!!
    ================

    These are just a few things, there are many many more points which I feel should have been included, but those mentioned above are probably some of the mos relevant.

    I also preferred the direction of the first two movies, at times this one felt amateurish, especially the Knightbus, which felt more like Harry on pot rather than Harry Potter (LFE was good though :D ).

    The movies will never be as good as the books unfortunately, but I just think they missed out too many key tidbits of info for this one.

    at the end of the day they didnt need those things to portray the story. if they wanted all things in it then the film would be 6 hrs long at least. they must have put the whole idea to JKR before it went out and she gave it the go-ahead. the next film will be the test as the book is so much longer than the 1st three and every chapter is very important. one thing i missed from the 2nd book was the deathday party hehe (means bugger all to non HP readers )

    I heard book four is so long that they may split it into two movie releases in one year ala Matrix 2 and 3, which wouldn't surprise me, the amount of story evolvement in book four is huge, at least we have the books to fill in the gaps if they don't go that way :D.

    there will be seven in total, the fourth and fifth books were huge, so the movies are going to be a real challenge.

    sixth book should be with us in 2005.

    Single movie for the time being. Its well into production at the moment. In fact they just carried on straight after the last one. We were pre-vising it as we were finishing the 3rd one.

    It would be nice to see them do the Harry Potter films similar to the LOTR films, i.e a basic cinema release and then a much longer DVD release with added footage to tie up more with the book.

    Saw the DVD last night. Is it my imagination or has Hargid's hut moved further away from the school? I don't remember seeing (or reading about) the bridge that needs to be crossed to get there either...

    The layout of Hogwarts has changed slightly , this happens in a lot of films....maybe Hagrid moved!
