I'm worried now! I just placed the order for this, after cancelling an order with another company, and when I went to check out it put the price in CDN$ as 30.31. A quck convert on XE.COM gave £13.0585! That's a big difference!

So it may not be such a bargain after all.

    Sorry

I decided to e-mail DVDBoxoffice and ask them how they arrived at their GBP prices. I thought you may be interested in their reply:

Personally I think it's a bit of a con, so as always; buyer beware!

DAVEP, I mentioned this a very long time ago (about a year ago) and I didn't get a warm reception about it or should I say the replies I got were more like..it didn't matter much !!

The problem is however you work out the exchange rate for a canadian or US purchase always add another 50p or so as Credit card companies seem to live in a world of their own.

It is so very annoying and at the end of the day you may not be getting the bargain you think you are.

Forgot to ask, but the link you gave for £12.13 from Box Office - Are they going to charge your credit card in pounds or is that just their estimate on conversion ?

The price they charge your credit card is the canadian dollars price. If I remember, I'll post the actual cost when the bill comes through - about the end of May!
