Harmony volume control

Hi,

Looking to get a Harmony 525. How clever is the volume control on Harmony's. I have my Sky+HD box connected to my AV receiver via optical cable. I don't always have the receiver on when watching sky, only put it for movies / music.

However, I want the volume buttons on the harmony to control the tv volume when I am not using the amp BUT to control the amp volume when using the amp.

Is this possible?

Would I need to create 2 activities, one for "Sky + No amp" and another for "Sky + Amp on"?

Thanks

Yes and yes, you can set the Harmony up to do pretty much anything you like.

As you say the easiest way would be to have 2 activities set up, one with the amp and one without.

Yes, I have it setup as above.

BUT when I go to sound through amp, the tv volume is still at its last setting so I have to go into devices and turn tv sound down/ off. Is there a way of muting the tv when the amp cuts in??

In The WatchTVAmp Activity include the mute command as Additional When Activity Starts, and to cancel it as Additional When Activity Ends.
Activities> Settings> Review Settings> Yes but....Next> Save> Next> Next> Custom Actions.
