    Hi all,

Bit of a long shot but here goes. I have a Media Centre and want to use it with a Harmony 525 remote. I have an IR extender that receives IR codes, then fed through an IR amp and sent to whichever device it's connected to. The way it does this is via a 3.5mm audio jack.

So, my question is, is there a USB dongle that has a 3.5mm audio jack that can receive IR signals ?

If not, what other ways are there to use a Harmony with a PC ? Can I use an IrDA dongle for mobile phones/printers etc ?

    Cheers,

    Richie.

USB-UIRT and RedRat are two USB devices that will interface IR signals to the PC. They both receive and transmit IR. USBUIRT seems to be more widely supported. Use it with Girder and you can control any PC app.
