I've been looking for a new remote to control my equipment and replace a Mosaic. After reading mostly good things about the harmony range I've decided on the 885.

What is the cheapest price inc p&p in the UK atm?

Cheapest I've found so far is £137.75inc p&p good deal?

Also has anyone programmed a Snazio DVD player on one yet? I see there's a thread about the TVDrive so thats fine :)

Thanks in advance for any replies!

noooo! the on-line tracking moved to "undeliverable, wrong address" today, phoned up parcel force and they said your address is wrong on the parcel so I asked them to tell me the delivery address and they read back my "correct" address.

So the driver must have not known where he was going and just wrote in undeliverable, after getting the usual "we're very sorry" they informed me it cant get delivered until Tuesday now, I'm going to drive the 25 miles tomorrow to the depot and pick it up myself :( noway am I waiting until Tuesday!

    Stupid Parcel force:devil:

Yeah parcelforce aren't the greatest, they won't call ahead in advance either to let you know they are coming, and only deliver during office hours

I've had the remote for a good few hours now and overall I'm impressed, being able to upload a .csv file if you have a jukebox CD player is a god send, my changer is 301 slot and is a nightmare to navigate, every time I add a cd I've been updating a .txt file (slot, artist, album) so I simply converted it to .csv (excel), uploaded it and now I can look through my full changer on the remote  This is a feature I didn't even know it had! You can do the same thing if you have a dvd changer.

The only problem I'm having is that it seems to be a poor fit in the cradle which prevents it from charging with ought having to move it about to get the contacts to connect, is this a common issue? and are there any fixes available or is it an RMA job which I don't think I'm going to do as it does charge, just not right away.

I like the layout but I find it hard to tell the difference between the green and blue buttons in dimm light. It would be nice if Logitech come up with a way to highlight/light these buttons in future models.

Overall I'm impressed and glad I didn't go for the 10 in 1 Kameleon :D

I've found the heavy-handed approach is best when putting the remote on the charger. I agree about the colour buttons - the placement of these is the only thing I don't like about the 885.

I've emailed Logitech support and requested the new version of the cradle the fixes the charging issue, I guess I must have got a old version of the cradle.

Hi there. I am thinking about this remote. Really like the look of the Harman Kardon TC30 but jsut cannot justify the extra price for what is effictively the same remote.

Seen the Komplett price and noted that they include a euro plug adaptor. Does this mean it is not official UK stock? Does this make any difference?

The next cheapest seems to be ccl but the do not refer to the adaptor.

Anyone ordered from Komplett able to comment?

It comes with a 2pin euro mains socket so the adapter is required for the uk. Although not 100%, im pretty (99.9999%) sure there aren’t any other differences.

The 885 is the euro version of the 880 (US version), there isn’t an official UK version in terms of the remote itself as far as I'm aware, just a euro version with a UK charger.

The adapter supplied when fitted makes the plug/charger assembly physically look like a UK charger, it doesn’t look "added" or out of place at all. :)
