I have a problem, where the "watch DVD" function very rarely correctly selects AV mode and cycles through to Input 4 (Yam 575 using component).

This has only worked 2-3 times out of the dozens i have attempted it. Harmony CSS are aware and have been working on it for 6 weeks with no solution!!

    They have tried;
    Serial signal sending
    Parallel signal sending
    Delay starting functions
    Inter-key delay timings
and lastly re-engineered the IR signals to the TV (what ever that means??)!!

I am starting to think the handset is faulty, before i go to the pain of sending it back does anybody have a harmony 655 working correctly with a Sharp LC-32GA5E and if so, can you PM your Harmony id so i can ask CSS to review your setup???

It is also eating batteries but not sure if that is related.

I cant help you on the tv side.

But IIRC there was an issure with a batch eating batteries, which certainly is not the case with mine.

Have searched the forum with this problem?

I was not aware of the battery issue but have since found it, thanks.

Previous post suggests firmware issue for battery life,so i will check/upgrade .

Come on someone must have some advice?? :(

So no ones has a Harmony controlling a Sharp LC-32GA5E, this is confusing as there are lots of people offering advice on how great the remote is for those looking to buy.

Seems you guys are as stumped on this as Harmony CSS!!

Have you contacted sharp and asked if there is a discrete IR code for input select, just because the OEM remote cycles, does not mean the IR chip in the TV wont accept discrete codes other option is to use the help function.

Also check if the TV automatically skips over unused inputs, this is an issue with APnny PW plasmas as they have optional input boards the screen will skip over an "empty" slot regardless of remote command....

PS the battery muchers were early firmware variants i think the website now auto prompts you to down load latest firmware when you first connect it up.

No i have not contacted Sharp but i will do thanks for the suggestion.

The TV does NOT cycle past unused inputs. I have also upgraded the firmware.

I had a phone message left by Harmony CSS last night advising me the problem had been escalated to the developers, obviously not a simple fix!!
