I have been trying to modify the custom buttons/labels for the LCD on my 655 and at the moment they are all the same for every activity, picture and sound option.

Is this a limitation/default or can you have a different set for each activity and/or for each picture/sound option?

you can add or remove any functions of "in use" devices to the LCD Surrond mode and aspect ratio are two i have added to the activity LCD controls as there are no suitable hardbuttons for these on the 655 i also added menu and exit for the Watch TV activity as that allows me to use the coloured buttons which Exit and menu are mapped too (red & blue) as normal colour functions for Digital TV etc

yep can do that no worries mate easily done you need the page that has the drop down lists of the buttons whwere you can edit what function each hard button is mapped too and the and custom labels for functions on the LCD you can fit 4 to a screen if you have the activity displayed at the top or 6 if you dont I'll take a pick of mine so you can see how it looks:

EDIT here you go Mate only issue is they appear in a specific order that you cant change unfortunately so you have to live with where the software puts em

Cheers Horny but your photos are both of Watch TV and both have the same items for the hard buttons.

Do you have a different Activity that has different hard buttons?

do you mean the soft buttons? i will take a pic of "watch DVD" later and see if i have different functions (sure i have some different)
Favourites could be mapped to guide, the photos were just to prove what can be added the only limit is the number of characters

I may very well be wrong here, but from what I have experienced, the soft buttons will appear in the order in which they are entered on the website.

    Cheers Horny..

Now the real questions is; Do you have the Watch TV Activity and the Watch DVD Activity active in your configuration at the same time?

That is to same when you updated your remote with the DVD activity it did not wipe the TV LCD options!

This is just a thought that occured to me and I haven't got time to check it at the moment.

AFAIK the Remote sorts extra commands firstly in order of the device which the commands are for and then by the order you specify on the setup screen. So for my Watch TV setup the commands for my TV always end up before the commands for my STB

As an example, if device 1 has command1 and command3 and device 2 has command2 and command4 then they will appear on the remote in this order

    command1
    command3
    command2
    command4

My thought is, what if you learn the commands from device2 onto device1? Could you then order them whichever way you choose?

I will check this out when I get the chance unless someone else beats me to it.

Just done some testing on the Harmony website (but not update my remote)

    Watch DVD activity has the following listed as below but my remote lists them as numbered;
    Chapter + 4
    Chapter - 5
    Display 6
    Audio 7
    Mute 1
    Input Next 2
    Aspect 3
    Input DVD 8

    I am numbering them 1 2 first row, 3 -4 second row, 5-6 first row screen 2,7-8 row 2 screen 2.

I then deleted ASPECT and InputDVD from DVD activity (these are used on my PVR-AMP activity).

I then went to the PVR-AMP activity and they were deleted from there!

Just got off the phone to CSS - It was user error!! :suicide:

I had set the custom buttons under the TV, video display function therefore the custom button is displayed in the LCD for every activity that users the device.
