Can anyone confirm if my harmony 655 will work with the Hitachi AV centre sold in argos or the Quintro+.

They are both 5 to 1 scart switches with ir remote controls.

I don't really fancy hours of manual teaching for the remote. But if i have to i will do it.

I just tried setting up the Hitachi as an AV Switching device, but it's not a recgnised manufacturer.

Nevertheless the codes can be programmed into the Harmony... And beleive me when I say you're mistaken that it will take hours to teach the Harmony.

This is not the Pronto world! I've managed to configure an entire DVD's remote command set within half-an-hour.

The Harmomy website does the work for you.

Provided the device in question accepts IR codes, the Harmony will do the job.
