Hi, I have got a HK DVD 25 and I am getting the xbox 360.

Would the xbox do as good a job/better job than the HK, because I will sell the Harmon Kardon DVD player if it will do.

    I have a 42" Hi-def plasma if that makes a difference.

    I have the same - an Xbox 360 and a HK DVD25.

So long as you are running PAL 576p (an old hack) for the DVD25 I think the picture of the HK has the edge over the Xbox. Film looks much more natural.

My Decoder sounds better with the coax input from the DVD25 - not an option with the Xbox where I am using the optical input. As a result, the sound quality from movies played on the DVD25 is better. I would quantify the sound as less 'grainy'.
