Surely it's false advertising for them to say "Progressive Scan for PAL & NTSC discs" when it only does Progressive Scan for NTSC discs?

There's an ad in What Hifi awards mag with 'HK DVD25 - £PHONE' so thats what I did. Took a while to get the price out of them - 'I'll just check.....(someone else comes to the phone).....I'll go and check'..........several long seconds pass......eventually got the quote. I wondered what the response would be to an aftersales problem. In the end I opted for Sevenoaks who didn't price match, but reduced thier instore price to £300.

Paid 50 quid more with 7oaks as part of a full system deal (Panny P6, Yamaha AX640SE, KEF KHT 2005.2's, bracket, cables etc). Overall decided the deal was close enough to cheapest internet prices to warrant an extra few quid here and there so that I could get aftersales backup from a local high street company.

Hiway Hifi are based in West End London, it's probably not always the easiest thing to deal with telephone enquiries in an environment like that. Personally I wouldn't mind waiting a few minutes while they thrash out the best offer they can !

If there's anything wrong with something you buy from them, they do a no nonsense swap out for a new product. Bought loads of gear from them and they have been superb.

What ?? they didn't price match or they didn't want to ? Considering you bought a full system as well ! Anyway as long as you're happy m8 paying £300 and not £250 nor £228 that's all that matters.
