    Love it.

Improved picture & sound over my Tosh SD220, even more so when using prog scan which is why I bought it.

I use a projector so differences picture quality show up a lot more than they do on my 32" TV.

To be honest I don't know. I have a different set up for music so I wouldn't use the HK for cd's let alone cdr's.
I have a Philips DVDR70 therefore use dvd+r & +rw. I use the Philips to playback these disc's. All my other discs are norml pre-recorded material, all regions.

I'll try a +rw one in the HK and let you know.

    Hi Jas
I have had this dvd playa for about 6 months now in reply to your question about palying dvdr etc etc
then it seems to me that it is the usual story, that it depends on what type of dye type the dvdr is.As I have had problems with certain dye types.I prefer ritek go4 dye .Dvdrw seemed to play up as well but these were mainly princo
No probs with cdr or cdrw
    hope this helps

Good unit, piccy and sounds both very good. Had a few issues with recorded disks, mostly non-finialised discs but some fiddling seems to resolve (power on / off with disc in).
    Backup discs work fine.
