Due to the demise of my dedicated room I am putting up for sale my PJ screen.

It is 16:9 ratio, viewable screen is 2.25m x 1.26m. The screen material is Harkness Hall matt plus (1.0 gain).

The frame and masking is covered in black velvet.

This is a lovely screen and I have been very pleased with it's performance and looks.

    Pictures attached:

    £60 ono.

    Thanks for reading.

    Hi Bod

Could you please state the overall screen dimensions, and also how is the screen fixed to a wall or is it free standing. Is this a diy screen using HH material or was it made by HH themselves.

Is the screen able to be dismantled for collection or not as it may be just too long to get in my vehicle, if dismantled how easy is it to put back together.:)

    Sorry for all the questions.

    Thanks

    Keith

    Hi Bod

Just seen an earlier thread of yours and can see now that it is a DIY screen using HH material and that it can't really be dismantled to make the frame smaller so I could not get it in my vehicle. Don't worry about measuring etc although others may find the info useful.

It is a DIY screen, it can be dismantled, and would be fairly straight forward to put back together (all screwed together). The biggest thing would be re-tacking the screen material back to the frame, not really difficult, just have to do as though you were pulling a canvas.

The screen is wall mounted, with hidden fixings. The overall dimensions are (2450mm (w) x 1460mm (h) x 120mm (d)).

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

    Any interest?

The screen material alone cost £160+

    Hi,

I may be interested, but would be concerned about reassembling the screen.
Do you ever come across the bridge to South Wales? Would you be interested in delivering and helping me reassemble it at my house?
I live 15minutes north of newport

    Let me know :)

    Thanks

Edit: also where exactly are you in Bristol?

Hi, I'm very interested in this and live Stoke Gifford, Bristol, 5 mins from Parkway station

sorry offer withdrawn pending clarification of measurements.

Can you please confirm that the viewable height is 126cm but the full height is 146cm?

Is the frame 10cm wide then ? I think this might be just about perfect, but need to go and measure again

Based on all the measurements being accurate, I'll offer £50 if you can include the wall mounts, get it to me and re-stretch the canvas for me.

I'm not expecting you to install it! but I'm not sure I would be sufficiently skilled to re-stretch the canvas on my own.

I'm in Stoke Gifford, near Parkway station and Esporta.

    many thanks :)

The previously mentioned dimensions are definitely accurate (and the surround is 100mm width all around).

I'm located in Portishead, just outside of Bristol.

Unfortunately I don't have a big enough car to deliver the screen (Toyota IQ).

I would say if you are concerned about re-attaching the screen material, another option could be dismantling the frame surround and masking (all screwed together) these would fit in most reasonably sized cars, leaving the actual screen which I believe would sit comfortably on some roof bars (the width and length is easily less than your average car).

If that's not possible I may be able to ask a friend help me deliver it. There are two caveats to this:

1 - I can only deliver to someone local (unfortunately not over the bridge, due to the cost and distance, sorry)

2 - I would have to ask for £65 for the screen to cover the delivery/use of my friends vehicle and time.

    Cheers

    Hi,

I have a decent sized car (Octavia), but don't have any roof bars, and wouldn't want to buy some just to move the screen.

If you are confident you could get the screen here undamaged and then re-assemble at my place for £65 then I'm happy with that.

This is on the basis that,

The wall fittings are included (and)

    The screen is wrinkle/mark free

I understand that it might not be to professional standards in terms of the finish of the surround etc, but I'm honestly not bothered about that as long as it's straight and true

All fittings/brackets will be included (apart from screws/wall plugs to attach the brackets to the wall).

If you PM me with your tel number I will contact my friend tomorrow and make the necessary arrangements, I do know that he will only be able to deliver on Sunday though, as he has work commitments every other day, will that be ok?

Thanks True Blue I will call you a little later today to confirm.

I also have a anti-reflection apron I built for my ceiling (using the same black velour as the screen masking). It's as wide as my room (3.36m) and it arcs toward the screen (1.8m at the deepest point to 1.4m at its shallowest, see attached photo). It consists of x4 individual panels that are flush mounted to the ceiling (hidden fixings). Does a great job of stopping light reflecting back onto the screen.

If your interested (I was thinking maybe £25) I could deliver this with the screen?

Hi, any chance of a picture from inside the room?

I can't quite get my head around how this works, and I'll probably need to modify it as my garage conversion is only the width of a standard garage.

Hi, thanks that's a much better picture, how about an extra £15 to take it to £80 all in? as my room is narrower that your's I think I'm going to have to adjust it all anyway (the Apron - not the screen!)

Fantastic, top quality screen and great workmanship - would easily pass for a pro screen, delighted and an absolute bargain - delivered in person by the seller and meticulously wrapped up,.... many thanks indeed.
