Has anyone bought anything from the above supplier. Seem to be the cheapest by far using Google shopping, however the shop seems to be in Germany and as you go through the checkout you are asked to pay into a Hong Kong bank account before good are shipped. Seems a bit to good to be true to me but thought I'd see if anyone has taken the gamble.

Cheers

I would not touch these guys they look dodgy.
I'm looking for a part that is END OF LIFE and hardly anybody has it and the ones that do are overcharging for it.
Found the part on Hardwareking.net, half it's normal price (before it went EOL)......so I looked for their VAT no (which was under 'Impressum' on the webstore): DE817826949 ..... not a valid VAT ID, surprise, surprise! (EUROPA site - Validation)
Wake up Google!!

Thanks for the heads-up, I nearly tried to buy a £400 video card from them (for £270. In hindsight, definitely too good to be true). They do look dodgy, and from what I can tell as a regular Google shopper, the site only popped up within the last few days. The barebones site design and poor English are usually good giveaways. I was also amused by the extent of their shipping and returns policy:

"Shipping & Returns
No shipping charges for everybody."

:laugh:

Despite misgivings I transferred £130.60 to their account in Kuala Lumpur for an
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition, 6x 3.30GHz, boxed (HDE00ZF
it being cheaper and more to the point, available.
Cash cleared 10 days ago and so far no further contact - from them!:laugh:

@Boblav

I would contact your bank and try and get the payment revoked ASAP.

I contacted my bank who attempted to reverse the payment. The Maybank Bank in Kuala Lumpur were unable to contact their customer (who were located in the same building). Nothing can be done and I am advised by HSBC to report the scam to my local police station.
Definitely a scam!

boblav,

I know I am highly likely to get a shout of "Waaaaa", but I trust you are joking and didn't actually transfer money to their account....did you?
