Am I right in thinking the JVC model is the DR-MH600?

Off the top of my head I thought the JVC MH600 was just (!) a HDD/DVDR combi sporting 160GB HDD and GuidePlus? I'd need to dig up their press release to confirm though...

You're correct - as usual  A quick google confirmed the spec. Do you happen to know if JVC are going to update the DRMX1 VHS/HDD/DVDR with a RGB input capable one? I'm still looking for a one box solution.

I should imagine so - although I don't think anything has been formally announced yet. They have announced the DR-DX7 (250GB HDD/DVDR/MiniDV combi) but I'm not sure if this will have RGB input or not - the 600 does.

Thanks Rasczak, I'll keep an eye out. Pity the Panny EH80V doesn't have a Freeview tuner like the EH60D - that would make it perfect for me:(

Thank you guys for mentioning the Panasonic model. I was there at Panasonic but didn't find it. Right now I have have an old Panasonic VHS from 1995 and has worked like clockwork... only the remote is falling apart....
