Are there any hard drive DVD recorders that have home cinema/pro-logic sound capabilities?

I’ve seen it offered on many DVD players and a few recorders, but none with a hard drive. I want to get rid of the clutter of boxes and consoles under my TV set so do not want to buy a ‘home cinema’ kit in addition to a DVD recorder if I can help it. I’m already overwhelmed by the fan noise from Sky+ and Xbox 360 and more boxes would add more noise.

Is there an easy solution or will I have to buy an amplifier in addition to the recorder?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Hi

There are none I can think of with 5.1 out, even if there were you would still need an amplifier for the 6 (or more) speakers so no different to just having an AV amp with a Dolby Decoder built in, and it will be unlikely a DVD recorder will come with decoder and built in amps any time soon.

    Regards
