    Hello,

I've read many article/messages here, and am seeking to purchase a Hard Disk DVD Recorder.

Many people suggest the Panny E55, as an entry model, however when I search and read specs about this model, none of them mention the
Hard Disk or the size of the HD.

Can someone please tell me what the best 'entry model' is for around £200.
I'd prefer some kind of HD with at least 20/30 hours storage. Nothing special. Not looking to burn Eastenders for my neighbour.

Was just about to get a PVR, when I found out it does not record from SKY.

    Thanks for your help,

    Terry

For that type of money you can get the excellent Toshiba RDXS32 - regarded by many as the best HDD/DVD recorder on the market at present.

It does everything you could possible need including having the most versitile and flexible recording features.

The Panny 85E is also a good choice.

Most readers will fall into one of these camps.

    Hello again,

thanks for you info. The main thing I'd like to know about either the Toshiba or the
Panasonic, is that, do they allow you to record from SKY. If not then I don't really see the main benefit of only being able to record from terresterial. If the Toshiba can record from SKY to Hard Disk - then I will def prompt for the Tosh.

    Much appreciated feedback

All DVD recorders will record from Sky (now someone will name a model that doesn't), certainly the ones you are considering do. The only thing you have to watch for is that some don't record in RGB.
