    Hello,

I am considering buying a Hantarex PD42 GLASS TV from a an AV specialist retailer which I trust very much. The screen looks fabulous and the pic quality is definitely in the upper range. The thing is that it doesn't seem to be a very popular brand/model and I was wondering if anybody here has come across this screen and would be willing to share their experiences with it. Reliability, noise, etc.

    Thank you,
    Spud.

More info on the screen here.

It looks far from special from the specs, it isnt an HD set, it has low contrast ratio.... that doesnt mean everything but it isnt a good start. How much is being sold for?

It's not cheap - going for 6500 euro (around 4300 pounds). I compared it side by side (using a dvd source only) to a Pioneer 434 and I felt that PQ was similar with the Hantarex styling working better for the intended room.

Thanks for taking the time to look at the specs. is there anything i should be really concerned about specs wise. i dont really understand contrast ratios!
