Hannspree Launch SE Series of Budget LED Televisions

Hannspree has launched a new series of TVs. The SE series of HD LED TVs are aiming at the entry-level market but will still boast features such as a USB media player and Personal Video Recorder functionality as standard.

The HD SE TVs include a built-in digital tuner ready to receive Freeview broadcasts and the EPG is supported by PVR functionality to record programmes onto an external storage device (via USB), and a Time Shift function so that you can record and watch programmes simultaneously.

attempting to act as a centre for multimedia entertainment, the SE TV series includes 3 HDMI inputs, legacy Scart connection as well as USB and VGA, for PC connection. As you would expect from an LED lit set, the SE Series has a pretty thin profile and is finished in matt black (we wish more manufacturers went for matt) and hosts Dolby Digital certified speakers that have eight different personalised audio settings.

With it being LED technology the SE Series isn't power hungry and is equipped with 'zero-watt technology'which enables a state of true zero power consumption to be achieved while in standby mode. There's also ambient light sensor technology which automatically adjusts the TVs backlight as ambient light changes to provide optimal visual comfort but that's very rarely something we recommend being engaged.

The first model from the SE TV series is available to buy now from Misco. The SE40 40“ Full HD LED TV, including a 2yr collect and return warranty as standard, is a pretty reasonable £395.99. A 32” model will be available January 2012.
