I have read the book and must say that it was TERRIBLE, with out a doubt one of the worst things I have ever read. It was trash.

I know the ending has changed for the movie but is it any good ? It would have to be about 50 times better than the book even to be an ok film ?

Without spoilers is the film worth seeing

I can't comment personally as I haven't seen it, but a dozen or so people have discussed this over at the DVD Forums and it generally seems to be given a thumbs up, just as long as you don't expect it to live up to the hype!

I saw it last night and it was dissapointing it has to be said. The most dissapointing thing about it was the lack of suspense, I mean there was NONE. At all. The good bits were good but there wasn't enough of them.

See it but don't expect it to come close to Silence Of The Lambs or Manhunter. 3/5?

Well it was much better than the book, much much better.

The ending was more in character to what the previous two books ( and movies ) had given you as background.

It could have done with being a bit more suspensful but that would have meant a major rethink as the book ( to which most part of the film is true ) is very slow as well.

On the whole I was pleasently suprised and much prefered this ending to that of the book.

    7/10

does anyone know the name of the
opera that was in the film? i never
listened to opera before but i though
    this was pretty cool!
there's a track on the soundtrack called
"Aria da Capo" by Bach. is this it or
is this just a piece of music?

    cheers,

was a bit underwhelmed by the 'gore'

perhaps it was overhyped, but it didn't seem very prominent. Good film though, havn't seen silence of the lambs fully yet, I only saw it on a dodgy pirate tape when i was about 7 years old, so kinda missed the point.

    must see it sometime

did anyone think that bit of brain looked really tasty?

it made me feel realy hungry.
