Hi

I'm having building work done in my house. The old kitchen will be turned in to the living room.
I'm wanting to hang the TV (40" led but will change to a 50" TV in the next 12 months) and also my sky box and games console.
What I'd like to know where is the best place to have the electrical sockets to ensure the least amount of cabling is visible

Presumably behind the TV...

Ok why not put a flex outlet box behind the TV?

Put a switched fused spur somewhere else. Run a 2.5mm cable from the load on the spur to the flex outlet. The TV power cable will connect to that.

Then you can switch off for the TV's isolation and change the fuse and do it without scrabbling behind the TV.

A flex outlet means the TV can be close to the wall. Particularly if the flex is run out downwards rather than straight out.

Run other cables separate. Eg. HDMI, TV aerial etc.
