hanging a plasma

    hi i'm looking for a new tv to replace my old GT50 that fell off my unit.

    so i'm looking at putting it on the wall but my wall is a dot and dab plasterboard is it possible to do this

    depends on what the dot and dab wall is fixed to...? is it solid wall behind....brick or breeze block...?

    Yes yes and yes. My 60" is on poxy plaster board!
    Our solution was to 1st mount 1/2 ply to the downward battons and then the bracket to this, tbf the srews were pretty long.

    Do a search for Rigifix, sounds just what you need - the anchor goes into the brick/block work behind the plasterboard so there is no pressure on the plasterboard -

    I used rigifix bolts to hold my 46" plasma to the wall (dot n dab onto breezeblock) and I am quietly confident that I could actually hang off the bracket. Although I haven't actually tested this.

    anyone know what size gap i've got between a dot & dab to house brick? i want to use rigifix but not sure if i can use

    rigifix is designed FOR dot n dab. The gap is normally standard depth as the plug sockets need to sit flush with the plasterboard. But other than you measuring the gap how are we supposed to know the gap ?
    and what makes you think you can't use rigifix ?

    I had problems with my insulation and when the company came they put a camera into the wall and said the distance...
