Sorry cant help on this but if your using NFS to just get extra speed over the network for file listings use a DLNA server instead as it's the fastest protocol plus its a lot easier to install and setup. Try Serviio, TVMobili or Mezzmo.

Hi,

If you go to mpc club forum and then user guides, I actually made a guide for hanenfs and allegro nfs with screen shots.

I'm on the phone so cannot post them for you yet.

Hope you get on well with them and let me know if you get stuck.

Thanks

Not sure what next010 is talking about but anyway...

NFS is the fastest protocol for network streaming by a long way but is generally too tricky for people to setup.

However, I found HaneWIN NFS easy to setup myself and the stutter when streaming that I used to get using SMB is completely eliminated.

Look at these network streaming tests below that were run on a WDTV Live....

NFS vs SMB vs FTP vs SSH speed test results

As for your problem - you must have an error in your Exports file. Try searching the web for the correct syntax... or post it here and I'll have a look.

If you are still active with hanewin nfs I am now, in 2015 having the same issue and would like the actual location for the user guide. New at this and I am stuck!!!

Got the document tracked down, and thanks. My issue, at least so far, is this line which I was told to enter under exports I would have thought that the location of the shared existing folders on both my hard drives would be what is needed here, but then, who am I. I will read through the document and hopefully it will enlighten me.

C:\Users\al bessey\Desktop\NFS Server -readonly -name:mywinshare

I don't have a winshare folder that I know of.
