Having recently purchased a 5Dmk2 from a friend I find that I have the following lenses for sale.

Brand new nifty fifty - Canon 50mm f1.8mk2

    Its quite simple...

EVERYONE should have one of these in the bag - even if you have a Nikon, just so you can say you got a nifty !! lol

There is nothing this lens cant do, its still possibly the most versatile lens around when it comes to full frame or APS cameras and its super fast and simply awesome stopped down for portraits and capturing the moment.

But you all knew this already, so buy it and enjoy it for yourselves !!

This example is brand new, never been used and I am not sure if its an import or not, I have scanned the box barcode sticker with iPhone "Red Laser" app and it immediately knows its a Canon 50mm so maybe its a UK one, either way its still the same lens with the same great results at a great price.

    £60 plus delivery

Couple of pics added of lens and what it can do !!

Mint Sigma 10-20mm EX DC Lens (Canon Fit) sold to ScorpioFC

This lens was bought brand new by me at my local Jessops in Colchester in 2008. It was considered the best alternative to Canons own lens for EF-S lens at this distance and some even preferred it, especially considering the huge saving in cost !!

Dont just take my word for it....Sigma 10-20 vs Canon 10-22

This lens has taken perhaps 500 shots in all the time I have had it - in fact I just sold my 40d that I bought new at the time and that only had 4000 actuations in total so its safe to say that this is like new as far as wear and tear is concerned. Externally it is perfect as far as I can see - check the photos for yourselves - its always lived in its sturdy bag in my camera case and it has never been dropped or mishandled.

The only reason I am selling is to fund a short lens for the 5d - and if I dont get VERY near my asking price i will simply keep it for another year until I can afford a 7d as a backup and then this can work with that, which is a bit wasteful in my eyes as I will still need a full frame wide angle.

If I can find the box I will include that but Im moving whilst selling a second home and clearing both out so things are kinda hectic right now, it comes with caps and hood and the nice bag as per the photos. You are welcome to come and touch it, try it (you will need YOUR camera as I dont have an APS anymore) sniff it if you live near Colchester - I will even meet you within a short distance if that helps.

£250 plus delivery - this is cheaper than a grey import and about a hundred quid less than UK stock prices at the mo.

    Thanks for the offer,

But like I said - its too good a lens to give away 45 minutes into the sale and lose delivery on top !!

God loves a tryer though so I would meet you halfway at £240+post if the deal is done by the end of the weekend.

Just a note: The postage will always be up to the purchaser, so that they can tell me which method they would like and that way I dont put people off with forcing them to be too expensive or not insured enough, everyones different.

    Well,

Depending on your views of the good old Post Office,

Royal Mail special delivery next day 1pm with tracking and insurance upto £500 will cost £8.25 according to their website and would probably be your cheapest option and would be with you by 1pm Tuesday as I am going to drop off a couple of other things tomorrow morning at the village Post Office anyway. Otherwise it will have to be tuesday to a.n.other courier, as the rest of tomorrow is chokka block Im afraid, I wasn't expecting to sell this in an hour and meet a deadline !!

I am happy to box it up to within the size of a medium parcel and use a ton of bubble wrap around it if we call postage a tenner - so given the lens case is 12x12x15cms thats gotta be well protected - even for the PO !!!

Just upto you to paypal gift me £250 in the next 6 hours your green-ness !!

You drive a hard bargain sir, but what the hell, lets go for it.

Just to confirm £250 inc delivery, posted tomorrow, arriving mid week. I'd prefer a bank transfer rather than PayPal if that's ok? I'm at work at the minute but if you PM us your contact and bank details then I will sort out payment tonight, should be home around 9ish?

    Cheers
    Paul

    Not heard from Paul,

Despite him being online, so assume that all is well and lens received ok.

Just got pics working of 50mm and a couple of quick shots from what my existing copy of the same lens can do - although most the detail is lost in compression for the upload to the site.

    Yeah yeah,

You love it here and spend all your time here !!!
Hope it goes well at the wedding fella, I am already missing that lens loads !!

    You can,

I will be helpful and charming as my mummy taught me and respond with £50 + £10 for delivery using the same next day 1pm option that has just worked out great for Paul and you will have your lens on friday ready for the weekend, assuming we do the deal in the next half day. Or you can specify some other delivery option (that you pay for) that I will typically add £1.50 to to cover packaging costs.

Basically Im happy to do £50 plus delivery, I cant justify a tenner off AND cover the post, its just not worth it ad I would keep it as a spare at that point Hdew have imports for £76.99 at the moment with 3-5 day economy shipping included. So this is quite a saving and you will still have it by the weekend.

Im off out to dinner tonight but will be back on later.

    Cheers.
