HAMA 5345 CABLE RELEASE ADAPTER ??

I have a Sony Nex F3 among others and its a great camera but Sony in thier own wisdom left out a connector for a cable release or IR even though you do have the option to use BULB in full maunal............but no way of using a cable release

So, I have been looking at either making or adapting a bracket or "L" bracket or some such thing to try and use the BULB function.........and found this!!

Any users? :smoke: I mean this strap and cable release........Think at £11 its worth a punt?

Never seen a cable release as whacky as that before. It's like it's from a time before electronic shutter releases. Found a review here. There are more reviews on Amazon, but they don't seem favourable.

    Cheers,

Wonder if using an L bracket with added onconnection for a cable release would work! It must be possible to buy a metal version of the screw in ppart.......then maybe cut and tack a bit of metal with the metal screw connection in place!

    Mmmmmm. Might try that.

    Any other ideas?

something like a small lightweight "C-Clamp" with a drilled/threaded hole to add a screw in cable release to might be a better option ?

    Cheers Jim

The f3 has an angled shutter so would have to take that into account to.

Never understands why Sony do dumb a$$ things like this.....but still give the bulb option.
