    Forgive me its friday.
Maybe someone can help. I had a packet of Canadian Ham seabrooks at lunch, and got thinking - is canada really that famous for Ham?
So I did a search on Wikipedia and the first result I got was
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ham_sandwich_theorem
    Now is that for real?
I'm an intelligent lad but, that seems to be taking the michael?
    Anyone?
    Also, Canada and ham?

Mmm Seabrooks, you seen the new 'spicy' flavours?

Can't see that Canada is famous for it's ham personally and that flavour has always been an odd one to me.

I'm afraid it is for real. You might prefer the two dimensional case, which is of course the pancake theorem.

Mathematicians are obsessed with food. They like sorting pancakes too. I particularly liked that one of the references was to Cohen D.S. and Blum, M. "On the Problem of Sorting Burnt Pancakes." Discr. Appl. Math. 61, 105-120, 1995. I'm sure that's something we've all struggled with.

The only Ham Sandwich Theory I know is that if Mama Cass and Karen Carpenter had shared a ham sandwich they could well still be with us.
