I've noticed that about this time of year people are looking for a cheap projector for a Halloween display in a window and my previous projector is surplus to requirements. It's a Hitachi PJ-TX10 with a native resolution of 854 by 480 so is good for DVD levels of resolution.
full specs here: Hitachi PJ-TX10 Specs

I don't want anything for it, but I would like the postage costs covered. If there is any interest I'll start a classifieds ad to keep it official.

Preference will be given to people I've heard of, good or bad :) If there is a long list I'll generate a random number selector.

I'd be very interested and of course happy to pay postage. Harry's unfortunately been hospitalised for the last 2 Halloween's and I've promised him I'd make it extra special this year.

OK, looks like a 2 horse race between Naak and Greek, unless you were also expressing an interest @aerodynamic18 ?.

Nice of you to think of Harry although I haven't made him any promises, not to mention the fact that many kids enjoy Halloween without projected nasties [emoji2]

Honestly, feel free to chuck your name in the hat [emoji106]

You are a true gent IG. Very kind gesture indeed.

I'm setting a projector up this year and have therefore looked into this "effect" quite a bit.

The resolution is not really an issue, especially if you are just using a free YouTube video like this one:
    Free halloween projection loop(1)

But at only 700 lumens, you will need to make sure the room you are projecting out from is completely dark inside.

Also you don't need to purchase an expensive projection cloth for your project. An old white bed sheet, some tracing paper, or a cheap white (not frosted) shower curtain will all work fine. Try a few out if you have these lying around to see which work best.

    Well done IG.

I'll close the book at four people and put the names in a hat. I need to sort out a suitable shipping container so I'll open a classifieds once I have that and know what the postage costs.

@its_all_Greek your name came out of the hat.

    Great gesture IG.
I was only thinking yesterday about using mine to project images on a sheet hung up on the window, so they look like something or someone in the house and a shadow being cast on the curtains.
Are there any free silhouette loops out there?

    Hi,

I’d love a projector if anyone has one going begging?

Please see my link in the wanted projector section too.

    Regards
    Kenco
