Hack wanted for Sony DAV-SR1 region code...

Hi all, awesome site and wonderful to see so many contributuions.

I am looking for a method that works to remove the Region 2 code and make the DAV-SR1 a multi-region player.

I have seen many methods here but they are complicated...i have tried the phone IR method but the application is not stable. I have heard of the method where you can use a program recorded to a CD....

Any help is appreciated!!!

Sorry no built in handset hacks, you either use one of the methods witha PDA/palmpilot, buy it pre-modded at time of purchase fro a specialist AV dealer, or use a chipping company (google seach). A quick forums search would help with more details for any of these options
