Sometimes I watch a movie on my lappy screen, sometimes on the S-Video output to my RP.

However everytime I want to change the movie playback display- I need to go into display properties and change the LCD <---> TV from primary/secondary (depending on which display I want to use)

I know this is copy protection of some sort, but it really gets on my goat.

Is there a hack that enables the secondary display to show movies?

    Thanks

It's not copy protection, it's to do with limitations of the graphics hardware.

Try using a 'clone mode' with your display settings. I think it's Theater Mode on ATi based chipsets. I think Matrox call it DVD Clone, and no doubt Nvidia have another name for it.

It should do what you need though.
