Don't know wether there are any hacks for this system - I'm new to this game... but couldn't resist the temptation to get this system as it included the surround system for a bargain £50!

I know it's not the best system in the world, but it's a case of make do for now.... already got an AMW from Richer Sounds in Leeds (and it's fab)

Any way, back to the point - need a reg free hack for it, if there is one.

    Many thanks.

~Aww shucks~ I can't beleive nobody has yet had a look at this, however, for anyone who is considering the player - yes it appears to be multi region straight from the can.

It is sold at Argos in the UK, around £50 with surround system (but this is currently an offer) - quite a good set up for not a lot of cash.

this may be a little late for you two but i'm sure someone else could use it.

    this is the solution -

Make sure you wire up the system as per instruction.
Switch on both and make sure Subwoofer reads 5.1 input.
Press setup on the control and select Audio
Choose Speaker setup and select Downmix
    Set downmix to OFF
Set subwoofer OFF, exit menu then repeat setting subwoofer to ON
I selected SPDIF to OFF as well

Finally, use subwoofer controller to adjust balance and rear/centre
speaker levels to your liking and enjoy!

Also, if at first it doesn't work, which it didn't for me, try the process again.

thanks to nuthouse, who originally posted this elsewhere.
