Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes...
I have an iPod, PSP. I have converted some DVDs to iPod format and also some movies to PSP format. Now, as far as I can tell, these are all H.264 video files, but because Sony and Apple use different file containers they are incompatible (ie. a PSP ensocded mp4 file will not play on an iPod). What exactly are these file containers and is it possible to convert the container of a file to a new format without actually transcoding
