Hi all, can any of you help my mate make the right choice on what to buy.

He has narrowed it down to 2 and he just can't separate them. One has higher res and the other a more natural picture. He think the Sharp LCD would be better for linking his 360 and PC up but the Pioneer plasma would be better for movies and Sky HD (when he eventually gets it). Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

I bought a Panasonic Plasma after receiving expert opinions from this site and got a superb screen at the best price.
Does anything rival (or completely kick the ass off) any of the links below at a similar price?

Nowadays, the only difference a 42" Plasma gives up over gaming to an LCD is the resolution.
Still 1204x768 as opposed to 1366x768, so some horizontal info is lost unless the VGA option is employed, which in a 360, you can select 1024x768 as an output.
Otherwise, gaming on a Plasma will be just as addictive and enjoyable as on an LCD.

In my opinion, he's spot on. So he'll have to decide which matters more to him.
