Saw that the other week. I'll have a malt, if you're asking!
I wonder if they'll include the racists ep. Clansmen?
Watching the Professionals is like the Sweeney with umpteen, "Oh there's, and weren't they in?"!
Ah fond memories of Lewis Collins stroking Pamela Stephens bra covered breast free of explosion dust, and the lovely Alice Krige. Good times mate. Let's Rock, with a big hello to all you truckers out there!
This stuff should go down a storm (!) with all the shonky Arab terrorists, quite prescient, in just the odd storyline.
Yeah, good point about 'Clansmen', I don't think it's ever been aired in the UK.
Aye, a single Malt of course!
Dont think it was ever aired mate, but I picked up 4 videos of proffesionals episodes in one f the x-mas sales for a fiver and that HAS the clansmen episode on it
That 'bodies' well for the DVDs anyhoo.
Now found it a bit cheaper at DVD Popcorn (£31.99)
Series 2 due August 5th (available for pre-order at Play)
Series 3 due Sep 30th (not seen it for pre-order so far)
At this rate it won't just be the complete Star Trek Next Generation that's released in '02!
Have you guys seen the sweeny episode in 'Black Books'?
Well worth watching.
Streetsonline have it @ £29.99 inc p&p
I don't know if anyone had noticed, but all the sales websites had this release down as a double DVD box set. A little worrying since the first series has 13 episodes - over 700 minutes of action.
Just had a look at the Contender website and was most relieved to find it's on 4 discs.
Looks like an interesting set of extras too.
No probs Confucius. We all benefit if we do it right, whether through getting a deal back or just doing the do.
Yeah I know what you mean about length, there's a hell of a lot to go round with the eps alone. It'll be nice to actually get the full monty and have some additional call up info, as this show is a definate who's who now. Every time I remember or see it, the first image conjured is me back in the sitting room with the folks.
The only bad association I have with it is from all the muppets who tried to make out the duo were gay, but then Starsky and Hutch and et al really all seemed to suffer this nonsense. Pity Wayne's World weren't on then, enter the platonic male comradery love scene...
Season 1 arrived this AM, and it does indeed include 'Klansmen'.
Oddly the manufacturers state on the packaging that it will be one of 4 box sets - there were in fact 5 seasons.
One hopes that they are either mistaken or that 2 seasons will be in the same set (there were13 eps in S1, 10 in S2, 8 in S3, 15 in S4 and 11 in S5)
EDIT: this first set features 14 episodes, all of S1 + one from S2 (Rogue); in addition they are not in the order listed on this website - of course, I have no idea which sequence is 'correct', if indeed it matters - I can't remember how much episode to episode continuity was featured (injuries, girlfriends etc....).
However, as there were a total of 57 episodes, it would appear there will indeed be 4 sets, the first 3 with 14 and the last with 15 (set one has 4 x DVD9s and 1 x DVD 5 - presumably this will be 4 x DVD9s for set 4).
2nd Edit!: The disc order is the same as the production order, and, certainly for the first 2 eps, makes more sense than the aired order: Old Dog With New Tricks was first in front of the cameras and intended as a 'pilot', though it aired 3rd
