Hi all, was going to purchace time crisis 3 and a gun but someone told me that these guns will damage plasma and lcd screens, firstly will they work on these type of screens and if so will it damage them or not, as much feedback as possible thanks, stu.

They won't damage the screen as that's not how many of them work. They use the refresh rate and pick up on timing and other clever stuff that's really easy to explain, I believe wikipedia explains how they work quite well.

And due to how they work they don't work on LCD or Plasma or some screens that refresh at can get guns for these screens and they come with sensor strips like the Nintendo Wii uses.

I've got Time Crisis 2 and 2 guns and was also dissappointed to find out that they don't work on my big new 32" LCD screen!

Hi, I dont want to leave you sitting in the dark on this one, so take a look at this. -
I dont recommend it highly as its a little bit of a hassle setting up the gun - two sensors (similar to the wii sensor) must be placed either side of the tv and the calibrating the gun took some time (might be due to lighting in my room). Its the the only LCD/Plasma gun I know of, and when it does work, its great! The recoil feature is a nice addition too, although its another wire that can get in the way if you havent got a close-enough socket. Maybe you should read some of the comments on the link and see what they have to say about it...
