    hi can anybody tell me if there is a good web site that can teach you to play the giutar with easy steps and to play along to music and songs ive been for leasons and i know the basics many thanks

    If you're after a particular song, just use google with song title and "guitar tab" and you can get the tablature, then just play along.

    I do the same for bass guitar and its great for timing and technique.

    OLGA is a great tab/chord site too... there are a few handy lessons too, 'warmup techniques' are really good to get the hang of if you're a learner..

    getting the hang of a few basic techniques has made learning new stuff much easier for me..

    the beginner's scales was good for me too...explained a lot of things. ( no lessons for me, just tab sites like olga and lots of head scratching)

    There are plenty of sites that offer guitar lessons on-line. The most useful are the ones that provide guitar scales and chord patterns. Some example links here, here and here.

    This is a great Tab resource.

    Oh, and visit the Guitar Guru if you want to become a rock god! ;)

    Guitar Pro is a superb bit of software, for which there are loads of music files available. Allows you to play along to the song, play along to certain sections, play it faster and slower. I've found it really helpful for learning some of the Zeppelin stuff.
