Hi there. Is it just me or is Guitar Hero 2 out of stock everywhere? Nobody I talk to has any idea when more will be in. Has this got something to do with the hardware problems experienced with Guitar Hero and the 360 or is it just really popular?

Just thought someone here might know. Thanks

I asked the wife to pick this up for me when out shopping yesterday and she couldn't find it anywhere. When she told me I checked online and it's the same, not one retailer has it in stock!

Game said that it's on order with the manufacturer and will be at least two to three weeks before they have any more in

As a post I made in another thread I've been thinking of getting this for a while. Monday was my bithday (37 I do feel old!) and thought I get it, nowhere has any stock as you say. I think the best deal I've found (if they had any stock) is £59.99 at PCworld collect in store, Game sell it at £69.99 and ToysRus a whooping £79.99 and even they don't have stock!

I've not found a cheaper deal on the net than PC world so I think I may wait for thier stock. I've already mailed a them about when they expect stock, if and when they replay I'll make sure to post on here.

and for those already rocking I salute you!:arty:

p.s. the Cr0 site is fantastic, I've been trying to make Curry as you get in a resturant for years, with this site I'm almost there!

I got mine from www.choicesuk.com for 64.99 and free next day delivery but it seems to be out of stock now, they are usually a very reliable last resort.

Did you get it fixed quickly or have you a spare only it doesn't seem to have stopped you playing other games.

Yeah best I've seen I think I'll wait it out I'm not that desperate, as soon as they have stock and I've reserved mine, I'll let everyone know.:smashin:

It's a good game, but once you have completed it you lose all interest. I found that anyway.

Actually found out some info on this. Source of info is from Gamestation. Chappy there claims it has been pulled from sale due to problems with the guitar not working properly. Wammy bar etc. Claims that there are 3 model numbers sold in the UK, 2 of which are duff. :( Nice one! Don't know which 2 model numbers are duff either. Basically we must wait now for model number 3 to be made readily available. He believes it to be weeks too!!

Sorry if this has already been discussed somwhere in these forums. Did a very quick search before posting! :D

Well even the ones with the duff wammy bars can be fixed very easily, the two numbers are 95055 and 95065 (and not all of them are affected), mine is a 95055 but I've never had a problem with it, wammy bar works absolutely fine. Also I believe the last patch solved is supposed to have cured any wammy bar problems anyway. I wouldn't read too much into what you were told in Gamestation, they don't seem to have had any in stock since it came out!

I wonder if there's been a stock recall, what with the defective models of guitar that initially went on sale?

Defective guitars were a software, not a hardware issue. I have one of the 'affected' guitars, and I've had no issues.

Plenty of stock over in Ireland if you want to call over :)

HMV on Oxford Street had a load of these in stock the other day.

I have a 955065 and it's been fine both before and after the patch.

I actually had two copies of GHII. I pre-ordered from Amazon way back, but their delivery was too slow due to the bank holiday. So I picked up the PC World bargain and sent the Amazon one back for a full refund.

Amazon.de have got them in stock but I'm not sure if they deliver to the UK and what the delivery cost would be. I paid 82EUROs (about 55quid) for it with free delivery to Austria. Oh and the instruction book is in English.

If someone is desperate for a new boxed copy I'll put mine up in the classifieds for £65 including delivery (which is £9 via Citylink), still having trouble returning mine to ShopTo as their carrier Parceline are as useful as a chocolate teapot

Amazon.de are very good and the delivery is just as cheap and quick as it is from UK (I bought my Wii there). Alternatively there is always ebay - I got GH2 for £49.99 brand new off there on Buy It Now.

Been round loads of shops today trying to find this but no ones got it anywhere. Has it been recalled? and does anyone know when it's likely to be available again?

How badly must this shortage be affecting sales? Or does it increase demand?
