Have a very odd need; a cabinet that can hold a 46-50 inch plasma, an amp, sky box and blu-ray.....however, also want it to be able to hold 2 speakers in a 2.0 set-up. Speakers will be bookshelf mid range so up to hxwxd 380mmx280mmx280 roughly.

Or, a proper corner stand (ones I can find not big enough), as I was thinking of putting it corner with screen stand straddling across the apex righ-angle then putting bookshelfs at eather end on each side of tv,

    any suggestions.

If I have to get one made, are they very expensive if I go for cheaper end wood with ideally maple finish?

    cheers

Real Maple will cost you a substantial sum. If you go for a veneered MDF/Blockboard with a maple finish you'll save a few hundred.

finish is not as important as the specs, will happily compromise then buy equipment to match the cabinet, it is 10 times harder to find a cabinet than it is to chose a tv, amp , speakers and blu ray !!!
