Purchased new by me in December due to my other Gigabyte card in an SLi set having an issue.

Couldn't live without SLi, so purchased this.

Gigabyte have now repaired my other 970 and it's back in my machine and matches my other card.

    Now £190 posted

    I have the receipt now.

These cards do have louder fans than certain others when they get going. Just letting you know!

    Review of card:

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC Twin Turbo Edition...

It's all boxed and as new - hardly surprising seeing as it has been used for only a few weeks!

    Price and currency: 190
    Delivery: Delivery cost is included
    Payment method: Paypal BT
    Location: Kent
    Advertised elsewhere?: Not advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I have no preference

Ram issue has never been an issue for me. It may matter at 4k on certain games, but in sli I play Project Cars and GTAV in 4k with no problem and at 2k they fly on everything. A single 970 probably won't cut it at 4k anyway on heavy titles.

It's early days anyway so I will see if I get an offer close to asking, but thanks anyway.

I do now have the receipt and also, as I have just found out, Gigabyte are great with their returns. I contacted them directly regarding my second hand card and after showing the receipt, they fixed it and sent it back within a week.

I'm buying for IRAY rendering so need as much VRAM as I can get unfortunately .
Only just read up on this ram thing to be honest.
I need to add a few more characters in my scenes so will be cutting it close with 3.5 gig. I have no idea how that 500mb split will effect IRAY rendering so I'm going to have to pull out.
For gaming I think the 970 is the best deal out there. :)

Might still take a punt at it but gonna have to do some more reading.

Offer of 190? My other offer at that price just got archived by seller. So I am assuming it's a dead deal.

Other thread here just so to be up front with everyone/mods. I'm assuming the other buyer has withdrawn the card and I can't post my offer is withdrawn.

No problem. Sounds a little more complicated than beating up hookers and stealing helicopters! ;) Some of the ATi cards which are around the same price as the 970's now have 8GB on board if that helps.

    Hi,
Unfortunatey IRAY is a Nvidia based engine so can't use ATI.
Looks like you got a better offer than mine so all good :)

Hi Boomy. Any interest? Apologies for the nudge. Just watching a few threads and being careful not to commit myself to two.

Sorry Rakka, parents turned up for a visit!

Will accept your £190 if you still want it. Will sort the details when home from work tomorrow.

Still for sale if anyone is interested. Was a wee bit too large to go in Rakka's case. A genuine mistake and one I have made myself in the past. He's such a nice chap, he offered to complete the purchase regardless! I'm not really that kind of guy, Rakka :D

Whilst you as the seller are happy for him to withdraw unfortunately this will result in a warning and possibly a trading ban for Rakka for withdrawing from an agreed deal.

How does that work if he still offered to buy it but I refused? I don't want him to buy it.

So you want the warning instead then?

With the greatest of respect, it wouldn't be hard to circumvent if neither of us want a warning. I could just say he purchased and add another I own for sale, surely?

Can't we just put this one down to experience and "lessons learned" etc and move on? :D

Alternatively, by all means, give me the warning. I'm not selling it to him, sorry.

    Hi Boomy.

I resolved this with Miss Mandy via PM. I explained the situation and much of it (well all of it) was my fault by one not doing my homework and by not communicating the PM conversation on the thread.

Many thanks to both Miss Mandy for her understanding and for yourself for being a gentleman about the whole thing.

No problem. I know rules are rules and are here for the benefit of all etc (it's the reason I come here!), but I don't like to see a man take a bullet for a miscalculation :smashin:

Props to Miss Mandy for understanding

I'd like to try and temp you with £180 again.. hahaha
mulled it over and its worth a punt. Not sure what will happen when I go over the 3.5gig limit, no ones really put any info up that I can see.
They mostly just seem to be using titans and 980ti's for iray etc...
I can't justify going that much on a card this close to the release of pascal which I'm waiting for.

Going to see if I get the 190 fella. It's a month old with a receipt and cost me £266. It has played approx four games. I haven't even touched the CD with all the utils that came with it.

The cards on here much older have gone for as much or more. I'm in no rush to sell to be honest and have dropped it a tenner already.

It would appear that the haggling spirit - which was for many years lost due to our nations many defunct outdoor markets - is now alive and well and has found a new 'virtual' playground.

    "Getcha' 970's here....three for a monkey" :p

Go on then, geezer. I will take wun undred and aightee five of ya finest Alan Whickers and ask ya to old out ya hand.

Offer accepted - meet me round the back of the van - taking to PM.
