    Hi all,

Does anyone know how to turn the music up on Gran Turismo 3? There are some great songs on the soundtrack but they are rather drowned out by the engine noise!

Am I being an idiot in overlooking the obvious, or is there no way to do this?

    Cheers,
    Lex.

hey, this annoys someone else too. haven't found a way either. gotta turn off the sound effects or choose a car with a quiet engine, which is just not on!

    Cheers guys,

Seems like a massive flaw in the design of the game to me. One of Wipeout Fusion's best features is the pumping soundtrack turned up really loud!

Seems daft of the GT3 producers to pay the bands all that money for songs which can hardly be heard!:(

Can I be different and say that I hate music playing in the background while playing driving games :)
I much prefer the roar of the engine and the scream of the tires when playing these games. Maybe that's why I hate the GT series :D

You can be different if you want - there's no law against it!!:p

So what racing games do you rate? I have only played GT3 on the PS2. I see Formula One 2001 is being re-released as a platinum which is quite tempting. And what about Burnout and Ridge Racer V, any good?

Don't rate any of the racing games on the PS2 yet.
Still play Colin McRae Rally from the PS1 and Rally Masters on the PC. Can't wait for Colin McRae reaching the PS2 :)
That will be something (I hope!)

I saw on Tv earlier that Colin MacCrae 3 for the PS2 is currently in production - should be good. Don't know when it is due for release though?

WRC is good fun on the PS2, if a bit easy.

GT3 needs more European & American machinery, roll on GT4.

Can't stand the music on driving games, what could be more musical than 8 or 12 cylinders screaming towards 8000 rpm, though it's more to do with the type of music than it's presence.

Would be great to see a proper F1 simulation with cars from the 50s - 80s, if it were prperly themed I might even listen to the music tracks from the 60s & 70s!
