RS had a PWD6 on there site for £1099.
I was going to buy it next week.
Just checked and its now £1299.
I didn't really want to buy it from RS as there prices arn't actually that great but at £1099 that panny would of been a good deal.
    Grr :)

You've still got a couple of days! I noticed the price increase too, and when I rang RS to confirm stock, they told me it was now 1299 (not including screen protection). However, their last advertising leaflets stated that the prices in it are valid until 28th March. I took the leaflet to RS in Cheltenham today and they honoured the old price (1210 inc screen protection).

The relevant leaflet is the bright yellow one with 'we must be bananas' or some such on it. I still have my copy if by any stroke of luck you can pick it up from Stroud.

Good luck! I decided just to go to the shop with the leaflet rather than trying to argue on the phone. And, to be fair to RS, they accepted the old price without question, and were very friendly.

I bought mine in Kingston just 3 days ago (Wednesday) and it was sold at £1099 as advertised. Might be worth checking other branches of RS, if you have them near you.

I bought mine today for £1099 (Sunday 27th), and without the additional screen cover which was apparently a requisite of the deal.

I am SO miffed. I went to get one from RS bristol today (sunday 27th) and they told me that it's now £1299. I told them it should be £1099 until 28th. He said "look at this new price list, and look at the website". I was most annoyed. I didn't buy it. Very p****d off.

Vikash, which RS did you buy it from? and did you have to 'tell' them what the price was or was it simply shown as £1099?

    Thanks,

Rs are not as cheap as they think they are, £1299 is a terrible price for a PWD6 as you can get PWD7's for around the same price from much better places.

I got it from Watford and waited until they'd brought it out and had me check it over before saying it was printed as £1099 in their leaflet, and (most importantly) that someone had confirmed they would let it go for that price when I called earlier.

Then they pulled out the old leaflet and showed me where it said that the deal is contingent on buying the screen care warranty (which I escaped too).

Calling the Milton Keynes branch was funny. Very helpful over the phone until you mention that they've advertised it for 1099 in the leaflet. Suddenly the 'last screen has been reserved for someone'. lol

It took some persistence on my part but I got there in the end. Thank you Vikesh, syrel and all others for your help and comments. I'm SO pleased. PQ is SO much better than on my previous 'budget' plasma.
