    hi all
does anybody know where i can buy grey cards online?
i've tried jessops but it looks like they dont stock them.

can a grey card be made using normal grey paint(what shade) and a bit of cardboard?

what do you want a grey card for ??

most commonly people want a 'card' for white balancing
in which case any white card will do but you can get odd results if the
card picks up a lot of reflected blue from the sky.

i've been reading magazines and most of them seem to think you get a more accurate white balance with an 18% grey card than you do with a white, maybe this is just for digital cams,i don't know.

Knowing that what you need is 18% grey, can you not print your own?

Even if your printer is not 100% accurate, it should be pretty close.

Other nuetral tone things such as grass and tarmac can be used. Not intended for the kit bag though
