I just want to congratulate Gretna ( I'm from this area). Not only have they made the Semi finals of the Cup but promotion to division one is now assured.

    Well done lads.

This time next year it will be the Scottish premiership.

They've got the players and the backing to go all the way to the premier. Am i correct in thinking that they have only lost 4 games in 2 seasons?

Congrats, they deserve it. I started taking an iterest at the begining of last season as every saturday they seemed to be banging in 4 or 5 goals a game................every game. Im sure they will get automatic promotion at the end of next season, they seem that strong.

Doesn't this Gretna place only have about 3,000 residents?

Something like that, there was a thing on sky sports this morning saying theyve managed to sell more tickets to their cup game (5000) which is more than the entire population

Erm, not quite. If Hearts win the cup final and finish second in the league (champions league spot) then yes Gretna qualify for the last Uefa cup spot.
However if Rangers manage second and Hearts finish 3rd (more than likely as Rangers have hit real form and only 3 points behind), then the last Uefa spot goes to the 4th place finish in the league (Hibs or Killie most likely, although the Dons might nick it - although unlikely).

So Gretna not in the Uefa cup yet. But well done to them for their fairy story coming true, hopefully they put up a better fight then Hibs did yesterday (yes i'm hurting)
