    I had Gremlins bought for my birthday,it is part of the new 12.99 range,after watching it tonight i was amazed to see that some of the scenes were full of scratches and dust,the picture on these scenes was terrible,why don't they clear them up for dvd?????????????????Other than that this is the best xmas movie made...

    Many thanks for the tip off, I assume this is the region 2 (or is that region poo?) version?

    I bet the region 1 transfer is better quality.

    I wonder if HCC would consider running a list of the poorly transfered discs.

    PS I bet there a loads of cr*p region 1 transfers as well.

    Because it made by Warner R2, who just copy the dvds from the old 1997/98 masters used fro the R1 dvds and then stip all the extras and even make unneeded cuts (Enter the Dragon)

    According to the Studio Day report at www.dvdfile.com Warner are re-releasing some of their original disks as special editions next year and Gremlins is one of them.
