green screen why?

    my harman kardman 25 and my very old sony dvd player both when plugged into 2 different sony tvs via scart show the picture in green, why? how can i solve this?

    have tried 2 different scart leads same problem :(
    s-video gives a colour image (but the tv i want to use only has scart!)

    any help much appreciated

    Sounds a bit like macrovision. They are not running through anything else before the tv are they?

    nope going direct into tv player (scart to scart)

    I wonder if it is a sony tv thing? the harman dvd is brand new but refuses to work in colour with the scart

    the scart lead is ok tried it on a different player

    r1 or r2 dvd's or both?

    The only other thing I can think is that maybe the players are set to output rgb and your tv can't handle it, is it an old telly?

    4 years old maybe (tried it on a portable tv too), tvs should be ok......

    using the sony player i can get pal now to play in colour via rgb scart but ntsc plays in black and white

    the harman drive is green the minute you turn it on with no disc in even :(

    if ntsc plays in black and white this deff means your tv can't handle ntsc.

    As far as the hk only displaying green though, Im really a bit lost. Could it be set to progressive picture mode by mistake?

    Other than that I can't be much help I'm afraid.

    id agree the ntsc signal isnt being handled :( from the sony

    the harman mmm tricky will check the settings, its litterally fresh out of the box ( my excitement soon faded :(

    funny thing is my moded ps2 works in colour fine with ntsc discs on the same tv! mmm wonder if it is a scart lead issue?

    ok solved the sony, it needed to be 'reset' then changed to RGB out instead of Video, now working in glorious colour! and color :)

    now to solve the harman green :(
