I have had my Hitachi 5200 for a couple of weeks now and an very happy with it after coming from a 8 year old 4:3 CRT
The one thing I am still fighting with is the 'green dot crawl' which can blight dark scenes, Blade 2 can be afflicted quite badly on some occasions even though the film has a good picture. With colorful films such a Charlies Angels the picture is sublime and you will not notice it at all even with your nose up against the screen, but with dark images it can be bad.
What is the best way to combat this settings wise

I didn't think you could, I thought it was one of those things that plasmas did although some to a lesser degree than others. I had a panny 6 and saw some dot crawl but only when I was really close to the screen: when I was about 7ft away I don't think I ever noticed it.

Perhaps someone with the same screen can advise you better. Best of luck!
