it's definitately worth a lot more don't you think ?

hope someone will benefit from my post
It doesn't appear to come with any memory!

That will probablly cost you £400 extra. lol

Its definately tempting
I think it does, their website ain't that brilliant, I'll have a lok tonight as I received a very details ad through the post which detail softwar, case, ect...
I think it's 512 DDR400. It's not a Medion brand but a Gericom. I don't know what their track record is like however it makes one wonder why Aldi have not offered the Medion this time
Gericom is a generic laptop manufacturer- also make the "Advent" range of laptops for PC World.

..well, I'd say the build quality of these laptops isn't quite up to the standard of the Toshiba/ IBM's of this world, but you do get a loads of stuff packed in- the keyboard/ casing are usually the let-downs, and the bios's tend to be less-intelligent at power-saving- this means batteries drain quite swiftly.

That said, for the money it simply can't be beaten.

Before you start rushing to Aldi (if you are that rich ;o) the offer start on the 26th of Feb and knowing how Aldi offers work you better be the first on at the door before they open and pray that your local store are doing the offer - good luck

I so wich I had a spare grand
I find it amazing just how many people will not only have £700 -£1000 in cash to be able to buy the computers that aldi offer, but also the fact that they will spend this much without the extra security that a credit card would offer.

Amazing deal though.
Just make sure that you can get a spare battery - now and in two years time!
did any of you guys get one of these, i have placed an order but could still back out if i want to. just intrested if the machine lives up to the reviews i read.....

all the best.... Splice
toy's r us have just as good a speck machine for £899 in my opinion.
