Just wondered if anyone is still into bookshop browsing in these days of e-books and Kindles ?

I moved to Derbyshire from Surrey almost a year ago and my girlfriend and I spent a rainy Sunday at Cromford a few weeks ago and she took me to the best bookshop I've ever seen.

Scarthin Books Cromford | Bookshop for the majority of minorities | Antiquarian Books | Online Bookstore

The place smells just like a bookshop should and is a warren of around 6 floors, totally crammed with new and second hand books on every subject imaginable. The staff are friendly and helpful and they even have a vegetarian cafe and toilet.
We spent about 5 hours browsing round and I could have spent a fortune.

Well worth a visit for lovers of books....

That looks a great place to visit.

Not exactly on any of my routes down to London but will try and call in next time.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    What's a vegetarian toilet?
